Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year at Elk Hills !! 

A unique opportunity for parents wanting a small school environment with a "High Touch/High Tech/High Theme" approach to learning for their children.

Elk Hills School is located approximately 10 minutes East of the Valley Acres and Dustin Acres communities. We are three miles off of Highway 119. The Elk Hills School District has approximately 200 students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. Students are arranged in nine regular education classrooms, and an intervention/resource class. Our students enjoy a happy safe environment with a focus on state standards and technology. We use a "High Touch/High Tech/High Theme" approach to meet the individual needs of our students. All student have the use of a Mac laptop computer or new Apple iPad tablet for reading, writing, mathematics, and all content subjects! We also believe students can learn more effectively when provided hands-on models and activities (math blocks, science equipment, social studies kits...). Our teachers are trained in the latest brain-based teaching strategies to support student's individualized learning styles.

The district  is currently accepting enrollment applications for the "District of Choice" attendance program for 2013-2014 school year at Elk Hills School. All signed applications MUST be received and date stamped no later than December 15, 2012. Placement is determined by space availability and transfer status.
