The Scholastic Book Fair opens in the auditorium next week! Students will have a preview day on Monday to check it out and see what's of interest to them. Students will be able to shop during their assigned lunch recess on Monday and Tuesday and they will have a designated time to go in with their class. On Thursday, the book fair will only be open during the hours of the Spring Festival. Students will have one last chance to shop from 8AM-10AM on Friday with teacher permission. Please be sure that if you are sending cash with your student to shop that it is placed into a ziploc bag with their name written on it.

It's that time of year again, Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase time! This year's annual fun-filled event will be held on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 from 5PM-7PM. We invite all our students, families, extended families, and the community to join us! Entry is free! Bounce houses are free! We will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair during this time, we will also have a food vendor, Tony's Snowtime Snowie Bus, and opportunity drawing basket tickets available for purchase (cash only for ticket purchases). Several resources will be on site as well!
A flier with opportunity drawing basket themes will go out next week, with a physical flier and a sheet of tickets going home next Friday (4/24). The student who sells the most tickets by 5/11 will recieve a $100 gift card of their choosing! Please note, to be eiligible to be entered to win the gift card ALL tickets and money MUST be turned in by 3:00PM on 5/11.

We are seeking four volunteers who are 16+ to help man the bounce houses for one hour each during our Spring Festival and Classroom Showcase on 5/14/26! We need three to work from 5PM-6PM and one to work from 6PM-7PM. If you have a high school student who needs community service hours, this is perfect, but anyone over 16 is welcome to help out! As we near the end of the school year, we want to recognize the hard work of our students and staff - especially as we begin CAASPP and NWEA testing. CAASPP assesses how well students in grades 3–8 are mastering English, math, and science (grades 5 & 8), while NWEA measures growth in grades TK–2. These results help us track progress and guide instruction. Our proficiency levels have steadily improved, thanks to our students’ effort, our teachers’ dedication, and your support. Our Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase is in just a few weeks (Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 5PM-7PM) and it's time to annoucne the basket themes and begin ticket presales for our Opportunity Drawing! The student who sells the most tickets will win a prize valued at $100! All money is due at the same time as the tickets and all tickets and money are due in the office by Monday, May 11, 2026 for the student to be eligible to win. Tickets will also be on sale for the Opportunity Drawing the night of the Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase for $1.00 per ticket, cash only. A flier with a list of basket themes and two sheets of tickets will be sent home with your child on Friday, April 24th, 2026. Any students needing more tickets to sell can see someone in the office or come to Room 11 to see Mrs. Cassandra.

Tomorrow, April 24, our students will get to experience a "taste" of a Farmer's Market!" With the help of a grant from the CDE and the facilitation of our cafeteria staff, all of our students will get to "shop" at our very own Farmer's Market. Students will receive "Elk Bucks" to shop. Please see the post for more details. The last Farmer's Market was a big success with the students!
