The track meet is still on for TK-4th grades tomorrow, March 22. Please be sure your students wear proper shoes and attire. Hopefully, the weather will be cooperative. If anything changes with the schedule, we will let you know as soon as possible. Reminder, it will be a 3:00pm dismissal.
Reminder to parents/guardians: 8th grade students going to the Museum of Tolerance tomorrow need to be at the school by 5:50 am. Thank you

We spoke to General Shafter and the track meets are on schedule as normally planned. As a reminder, TK-4th grade will be competing on Wednesday, March 22. This will be a regularly scheduled dismissal at 3:00pm. 5th-8th grades will compete on Friday, March 24. Both meets will be held at General Shafter school.

Big Smiles is returning to Elk Hills School District on May 15th and 16th! Please be on the look out for permission slips or go to www.MySchoolDentist.com to sign up. Big Smiles does check-ups, including x-rays, as well as preventative care like cleaning, sealants, and small cavity fillings. You will receive a dental health report card after your child is seen. Please be sure to provide all the requested information in order for your child to be seen. If your child has been seen by a dentist within six months of the visit date they will not be able to be seen by Big Smiles. We are also excited to announce that Big Smiles will be seeing incoming kindergarteners for the 2023-24 school year- so if you have a child who will be starting school next year and you want them to get their required dental screening for school please be sure to sign them up!
Congratulations to Taven for winning our Amazing Attending drawing for the month of February! Every month all students who have 97% or higher attendance are entered into a drawing to win a basket full of prizes. Keep up the amazing work, Taven!

We are quickly approaching Spring Break which means it's almost time for our annual Easter festivities! We are seeking candy donations with which to fill plastic eggs for our student egg hunt! All candy must be sealed and individually wrapped. Donations can be dropped off in our office until Thursday, March 23rd, 2023. We are also looking for parent volunteers to help fill eggs and make goodie bags! Information regarding our Easter festivities will be posted soon! The 8th Graders will be selling hot chocolate for $2.00 tomorrow at lunch. Help the 8th graders raise money for all of their end of year fun.
