AmeriCorps is hosting their first annual Pathways to Success career fair for students! Join Mrs. Reno, our AmeriCorps mentor, for a day of networking with employers and colleges on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 10AM-2PM at Del Oro High School in Bakersfield.
Employers and colleges include but are not limited to: California State University Bakersfield, Bakersfield College, California Aeronautical University, Hall Ambulance, Lexus, Bakersfield Parks and Recreation.. and more!
Elk Hills Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase Opportunity Drawing Basket Themes! 20 tickets will be handed out to each student on 5/1/23, each ticket is only $1.00! The student who sells the most tickets by 5/15/23 will win a prize valued at $100.00! In order for students to be entered into the contest they must turn in tickets and money to the office by 5/15/23. Drawing will take place during the Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase. We can't wait to see you all there!

Don't forget that Big Smiles is returning to Elk Hills School District on Monday, May 15th and Tuesday May 16th! Big Smiles is a mobile dentistry company who works with school district to provide dental services to students at school so they do not have to miss an entire day for an hour-long appointment. Don't miss the chance to have your student seen! This visit Big Smiles will also be conducting the required dental check-up for 2023-24 incoming kindergarteners, so if you have a child who will be attending kindergarten next year please be sure to sign them up and bring them in! Elk Hills 2nd & 3rd grade classes had a great time at Dewar's yesterday. They learned all about making the delicious Dewar's chews and ice cream.

Our annual school-wide Easter celebration was a huge success! Thank you all for your candy donations. Thank you to the parents and PTO members who came to help fill eggs and then came back to help hide the eggs! We appreciate all your help, and we know the kids do too.
