Attention Elk Hills Families,
Elk Hills School District is pleased to announce that we will be hosting Summer Camp 2024 throughout the month of June. Summer Camp is highly recommended for students who may need extra academic support and mitigate summer learning loss. Hours of the camp will be 8:30am-1:30pm daily with bus transportation, breakfast, and lunch provided. The after school program will also be available until 4:30pm daily. Summer Camp will conclude with a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo. Registration was sent home Monday. Sign up today to reserve your spot!

Please note that the 7th & 8th grade softball team will be playing in the tournament at General Shafter next Friday, May 10. We apologize for the confusion! If you have any questions, please call the school office.
Don't forget to sign up your child to be seen by the denist on the Elk Hills campus on Tuesday, May 21st. All students received a physical permission slip, but you can also sign up online at www.MySchoolDentist.com. Incoming kindergarteners can have their Oral Health Exam done during this visit as well. The Elk Hills School District's Scholastic Book Fair will begin Thursday, May 16th and run through Thursday, May 23rd. Be on the lookout for a sneak peek flier in your child's backpack this week. The sneak peek flier is filled with amazing books that will be available for purchase at the book fair! The book fair will be open during the Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase on May 16th!

E-wallet is a convenient and secure digital payment account that you can set up to help your student shop for their books during the fair and easily check out without needing to bring cash with them. Good afternoon Elk Hills! It is not too late for your student to attend a Saturday STEAM Camp. We have another one coming up this Saturday, April 27, from 8:00am-4:00pm. Camp will begin promptly at 8:00am with breakfast, then KCSOS will be providing activities from 8:30am to 12:00pm. At 12:00pm, lunch will be served. After lunch, extension activities will be provided by our Elk Hills staff until 4:00pm. . This Saturday, our students will learn about solar energy! Please note, we will not have bus transportation.

Elk Hills Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase Opportunity Drawing Basket Themes! 20 tickets will be handed out to each student on 4/29/24, each ticket is only $1.00! The student who sells the most tickets by 5/14/23 will win a prize valued at $100.00! In order for students to be entered into the contest they must turn in tickets and money to the office by 5/14/23. Drawing will take place during the Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase. We can't wait to see you all there!


It's that time of year again! The Elk Hills School District Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase will take place on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 5PM-7PM on the Elk Hills School campus. Entry is free, but there will be a tri-tip sandwich plate for $10, and we will have Tony's Snowtime snow cone bus with sweets for purchase! Come check out all the amazing classroom projects, buy some books at our Scholastic Bookfair, get acquainted with our school and community resources, sign your student(s) up for summer school, enjoy some music and some free games, and lots of other activities! We can't wait to spend an evening with you! Information regarding prize baskets and ticket sales will be made available tomorrow. All are welcome!

The dentist is coming! Big Smiles will be back on campus May 21st! Permission slips will go home this week, but you can also sign up on www.MySchoolDentist.com. Big Smiles provides six month check-ups and basic dental work to students at school. Big Smiles provides X-rays, cleanings, sealants, small cavity fillings, and a new toothbrush. Help keep your students' teeth healthy by signing them up today!
