Dear Elk Hills Families.... We realize that many events are occurring during the last two weeks of school. We would like to remind you of two important ones to highlight on your calendar. Kindergarten graduation will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 9:00am. Our 8th grade graduation will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 6:00pm. Both graduations will be held in the auditorium and have receptions immediately following. Paper invitations will be sent home tomorrow. We hope all the graduates' families can attend!
Elk Hills Community…this is just a reminder that we will be hosting the Annual Spring Festival and Classroom Showcase THIS Thursday, May 16, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The opportunity baskets this year are AMAZING! We will also have a book fair, face painting, community resource information, DJ, bounce houses, snow cone bus, and tri-tip sandwich meals for sale. We know it will be warm; however, we have moved a lot of the fun indoors! We hope to see you there!

The Small Schools Activity League's softball tournament is Friday, May 10, 2024 for participating 7th & 8th graders. The tournament will take place at General Shafter School District located at 1825 Shafter Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93313. Snack bar available, cash only. Students not participating are still required to attend school.
Our annual Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase is coming up on 5/16! The baskets are coming in and they are all valued at $100+. Tickets are only $1! The student who sells the most tickets will win a gift card valued at $100! Students can turn in tickets and money to the office any day between now and the 14th.
Community Bingo Night has been postponed from May 9th to May 23rd. I apologize for any inconvenience!

The tournmanet hosted at General Shafter School District located at 1825 Shafter Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93313. Families welcome! Snack bar available- cash only. *Students not on the softball team are still required to attend school that day.

Elk Hills School District is pleased to announce that we will be hosting Summer Camp 2024 throughout the month of June. Summer Camp is highly recommended for students who may need extra academic support and mitigate summer learning loss. Hours of the camp will be 8:30am-1:30pm daily with bus transportation, breakfast, and lunch provided. The after school program will also be available until 4:30pm daily. Summer Camp will conclude with a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo. Registration was sent home Monday. Sign up today to reserve your spot!

Don't forget to sign up your child to be seen by the denist on the Elk Hills campus on Tuesday, May 21st. All students received a physical permission slip, but you can also sign up online at www.MySchoolDentist.com. Incoming kindergarteners can have their Oral Health Exam done during this visit as well. The Elk Hills School District's Scholastic Book Fair will begin Thursday, May 16th and run through Thursday, May 23rd. Be on the lookout for a sneak peek flier in your child's backpack this week. The sneak peek flier is filled with amazing books that will be available for purchase at the book fair! The book fair will be open during the Spring Festival & Classroom Showcase on May 16th!
