We here at Elk Hills School District want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with all the events during the last week of the 2022-23 school year! Thank you to our PTO: Jamie Frye, Sherry Sinden, Amanda Thompson, and Danielle Bryant as well as the parent volunteers for an amazing Water Day, and a special shout out to Danny Frye at Brown and Reich Petroleum for providing the waterslides! Another HUGE thank you to our PTO and parent volunteers who set up the graduation reception and created such amazing memories for our kindergarten and 8th grade graduates, and their families. Thank you to Victoria Marquez with Event Design by V for the beautiful balloon arch and photo op! Thank you to all our staff for coming together to organize the graduation ceremonies, your efforts are so appreciated. Thank you to all the students and their families who attended these events and made our sense of family and community that much stronger! We can't wait to see what the 2023-24 school year holds for us all! #ElkHillsStrong

We would like to congratulate our 2023 graduates. To the 8th graders we will miss you and good luck in your future. To the kindergarteners we cannot wait to see you either for summer camp or in August. To you all have a great summer break!

Today is not a minimum day, students will be released at 3:00pm. Tomorrow is a minimum day and students will be released at 1:30pm. There is no after school care.

Don't forget: Water Day is next Wednesday, May 31st, 2023! Bring your sunscreen, school-appropriate swim attire, towel, and money for a snow cone from Tony's Snowtime! TK-2nd: 9AM-10:15AM, 3rd-5th: 10:15AM-11:30AM, 6th-8th: 11:30AM-12:45PM.
Even though our physical book fair will be closing up shop tomorrow after lunch, it's not too late to set up an eWallet or shop online! Our online book fair runs until Sunday, June 4th, 2023. Have your books shipped to the school or to your home!

The PTO will be holding a meeting tomorrow, May 23rd, 2023 from 3PM-4PM in the cafeteria to discuss the upcoming Water Day as well as Kindergarten and 8th graduations. Please join us!
We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Spring Festival/Classroom Showcase last night and supported our amazing school! We appreciate all the donations for baskets, all the ticket purchases, all the Scholastic Book Fair purchases, and all the love and support you showed! We had an amazing turnout! Thank you to our amazing staff for working so hard to organize the event! Thank you to our PTO for helping with vendors and volunteering! Thank you to all the community resources that came out and spent the evening with us: Bakersfield College, Community Action Partnership of Kern, Kern County Library, College Community Services, California Highway Patrol and Kern Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. Thank you to our vendors: So Cal Tamal, Tony's Snowtime, Taft Lions Club, DJ Corey Beilby, Mrs. Eileen Rensel, and Adam's Fun Jumps. And a big shout out to Mr. Gonzales for agreeing to get dunked!
Dear Elk Hills Families! Please join us tonight, May 18, from 5:00pm-7:00pm for our annual Spring Festival and Classroom Showcase. We will have 300 meals available for purchase as well as a snow cone bus! The Scholastic Book Fair will take cards or cash. This is a family, fun filled event that showcases our school. We hope to see everyone there!
