On Friday, January 30, our students will get to experience a "taste" of a Farmer's Market!" With the help of a grant from the CDE and the facilitation of our cafeteria staff, all of our students will get to "shop" at our very own Farmer's Market. Students will receive "Elk Bucks" to shop. Last Friday marked the 100th day of school and while we did not meet our attendance goal of 100%, we will still had fun with the students who were here that day! Staff, students, and families were greeted by an amazing yard card to kick off the morning- lots of photos were taken! During the students' lunch recesses there was a photo opportunity, fun music to dance to, and a treat with a little note reminding students and staff of how "sweet" it is that we have spent 100 days together!
We're now on the countdown to summer with only 77 more schools days to go! I know as the year goes on, and the sun comes out to play, it may become more difficult to get students to school, but as we inch closer to the end of the year it is extremely important that all students are here on a daily basis as they will begin learning the foundational skills they will need when they level up to the next grade in the 26-27 school year.

Attention Parents! We will be holding our 1st semester awards assembly tomorrow, January 14, 2026. Awards for TK-2nd grades will be held at 12:00pm, 3rd-5th grades will be held at 12:30pm, and 6th-8th grades will be held at 1:00pm. Please note that we have an early dismissal this day as well. If your student is eligible to receive an award, a notice was included with their report card last Friday. Students will be recognized for Honor Roll, Principal's List, Elk of the Month, Perfect Attendance, and the Spelling Bee!
